This Little Thing I do

The charity 'Pompe Support Network' commissioned me to create a book, bringing together stories of people living with Pompe disease. I chose a subdued but joyful colour palette and worked with reasonably large type, not only keeping accessibility in mind but also creating a welcoming humanistic feel on the page. Inspired by magazines I created a grid that allowed me to change the layout for each individual article. I was involved in the editing process and ended up changing the title to be more intimate and we managed to get the fantastic illustrator Daniel Rieley on board to accompany these pieces of writing with his beautiful drawings.

We hope it brings a touch of inspiration and encouragement to those who need it, helping to alleviate the distress, anxiety and isolation that can accompany living with an ultra-rare and lifelong illness.
